Satyameva Jayate *
"This guy who jumped the signal, well, he won't watch our show," says Aamir Khan in a TV promo for the show that aired during it's second season some time back
Let's just say he got it right yet again, but only partially.
Because Aamir Khan was talking about the people who show consistency in their behaviour. He did not consider the people who are two-faced, the kind who will watch the show and still jump the signal.
Most people have a hollow, shallow conscience. They love to show off how honest, committed and sincere they are. They lie to everyone they can, just to create a positive image of themselves in front of people they know.
Frankly, many people think of themselves as some kind of a mini-superhero, brought into the world to fight evil and achieve greatness.
So they will brag about donating blood every year, when in reality they may have never donated blood.
They will talk about the importance of traffic rules, and break every such rule into pieces.
They talk about friendship but never a friend actually when.needed
They will talk about respecting women, and look at every girl on street
They will talk about equality, and then flash their political affiliation at toll booths and parking lots.
They will talk about equality, and then flash their political affiliation at toll booths and parking lots.
And these are the kind of people who will still watch Satyameva Jayate.
